How to Keep up to date with Google News and to Find anything you need and compare prices when shopping

Google is much more adept at presenting the latest breaking news in a format that is easy to understand when you’re using News, rather than the standard Search page. You can customise the sources and categories and even give weightings to each of them so that your preferences are met perfectly.

Read the latest news stories straight away

1: A busy page: Go to https://news.google.com to see a busy page showing breaking news items, the local weather and local news for your county.

2: Personalise it: Over to the right you will see a cog icon. Click on this and a series of bars
will be shown for you to adjust, to alter the importance of categories.

3: Change the view: You can also change the way the news is presented by clicking the Modern icon, top-left. Each view is markedly different from the rest.

4: Detailed searching: Click the arrow in the search box at the top to search for news stories
containing keywords. You will receive the story from multiple sources.
